The needs

This unit will teach the meaning of basic needs and also what responsible consumption involves.

1. Consuming is the action of spending, but spending does not just mean buying material things, as we can spend on food, leisure and free-time activities and clothes, as well as on electricity, water... and we do so to satisfy our needs and wishes.

1. We often buy things without first thinking whether we need them or not. We need to consume according to our real needs, and this is what we call Responsible Consumption.
