Mixing sounds

In this unit, we will see, hear and learn about a large number of musical instruments from all five continents. This vast musical diversity is a treasure, as it provides us with great cultural wealth.

Ideas for celebrating the day:

• Bearing in mind the cultural diversity in schools today, pupils can bring typical music from their countries or musical instruments, the music they like (CD, information, photos, or even the instrument they have at home) and organise a small exhibition in class.
• Listen to music from different countries and guess which country each piece belongs to. Include information on the country.
